Nearly 200 species of birds, including the Bald Eagle, and many small mammals such as mink, fox and beaver find safe haven here. Rock Cliff is also home to a few larger mammals such as moose, deer, elk and mountain lion.
recreationDescription This pristine area provides nature enthusiasts and students alike with numerous possibilities for discovery. Although a part of Jordanelle State Park, Rock Cliff is unique in a variety of ways. Whereas the Hailstone Recreation Area functions as the park's headquarters and major recreational complex, Rock Cliff's major emphasis lies in education, interpretation, and low-impact recreational experiences. The Ross Creek Trailhead is located on the far Northeast corner of the park. The trail provides non-motorized day-use access to the reservoir and the perimiter trail. The trailhead offers parking, restroom facilities and hitching posts.
